The SSL210x is a series of Switched Mode Power Supply (SMPS) driver IC's that operates in combination with a phase cut dimmer directly from the rectified mains. It is designed to drive LED devices. The series contains two devices that include a high-voltage power switch and a controller-only version without a high-voltage power switch. All devices include a circuit to allow start-up directly from the rectified mains voltage and a high-voltage circuitry to supply the phase cut dimmer. For dimmer applications, an integrated dedicated circuitry optimizes the dimming curve.
